Stomatitis (aphthous)

'Stomatitis (aphthous)' means...
As shown on the right, it is a general term for inflammation of one to several small, painful, whitish, round, painful, shallow, small ulcers (<10 mm in diameter) with a reddish periphery and a shallow hollow centre on the inside of the cheek, tongue or the back of the lips. The cause is not clear, but stress, fatigue or poor nutritional intake are said to be involved.

Dosage and administration

Apply an appropriate amount to the affected area once or several times a day.

usage method
Gently wipe off any moisture, sludge, etc. from the affected area.
Apply the drug on a dry fingertip, press it lightly against the affected area and rub it in a single application.
(Do not rub repeatedly).
Lightly moisten the surface of the preparation applied to the affected area with the tip of the tongue or similar before closing the mouth.
The moisture-attracting surface becomes an aqua-sensor barrier* and covers the affected area.
*Aqua Sensor Barrier (registered trademark) is a proprietary technology that attracts saliva and other moisture to its surface, making it difficult for the ointment to adhere to teeth and other surrounding surfaces and providing excellent adhesion to cover the affected area for a long time.
